Porscha has decided to go home early so our road trip plans have changed a bit. I personally am lactose intolerant but Porscha was the one with the severe allergy. I am hoping to eat at some local restaurants and pray that lactaid pills help me. Here's what we are thinking of doing now:
New Jersey Carlo's Bakery Virginia The Bistro at Market and Grove Residence Inn Springfield North Carolina Bill Ellis BBQ, or Holt Lake BBQ, or Moore's BBQ South Carolina Lone Star BBQ or Sweatmans BBQ, or Poogan's Porch Holiday Inn Express Florence Pee Dee State Farmers Market - Sweet Potatoes, Peaches, Boiled Peanuts - YUM Georgia Crystal Beer Parlor Olde Pink House (replace Paula Deen - since we have eaten there before) Homewood Suites by Hilton (if we knew it would have been just us we would have stayed in the Historic District).

Be sure to tell your server that she has an allergy and they will pass the info along to our kitchen. You can tell your server or the manager on duty some of her favorite foods and I am positive we can make her happy! Hope to see you soon, Traci Riley HR Manager Red Bone Alley 1903 West Palmetto St Florence, SC 29501 Cheeseburger in Paradise (All)
1st response Good Morning Stacy, At Cheeseburger in Paradise your dining experience is our first priority. We are happy to offer meals that are dairy free, however because of the size of the menu it is always best if you take a look first.. then let us know what interests you, and we will inform you of the ingredients/how to order the meal dairy free. Please feel free to check out a menu online, and then e-mail me back with any specific questions you have. Also, whenever you visit a Cheeseburger in Paradise, make sure to ask for a manager and let him know of your allergy/specific dietary needs; he or she will always be happy to accommodate you in the best way possible. Warm Regards, Your Cheeseburger in Paradise team 2nd response Hello Stacy, There is no milk or milk derived products in the bun, there is egg. There is also no dairy in FF or the oil, seasoning, etc. Plain burger, GF bun, Pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and fries would be fine. Please don’t forget to let a hostess/manager know of your dietary needs when you get to the restaurant so they can better accommodate you. Thank you! The review of Blue Mermaid Island Grill is now up! Including pictures!

We booked this trip as a celebration of our 13th Anniversary. I will be adding new hotel, restaurant, and park reviews this week but thought you'd like the highlights now. Disney's Yacht Club Resort - Beautiful resort, lovely grounds, and wonderful staff. We originally booked a Concierge Level Garden Room with a King Bed. We did not get a King Bed but they did upgrade us to a Lagoon View with 2 Queen Beds and a Daybed. The room was terrific and a fun view! Disney Restaurants we ended up trying 10 restaurants/bars in the "world." Most of them were wonderful although, we ended up having some small problems with 2 of them. Jetblue airlines - Our flight down to Orlando was great. We purchased Even More Legroom seats so this entitled us to a faster security line and the ability to board first. Our flight home was more difficult. We were delayed, were not pre-boarded, lots of turbulence, and a malfunctioning tv system. I contacted Jetblue about our experience and they did apologize as well as offered us a future credit. So I can't complain too much. |
